ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A team of scientists at the UNM Cancer Center have discovered a possible breakthrough in treating ovarian cancer.
The team found an anti-inflammatory drug called ketorolac used to treat other things can also help ovarian cancer patients too.
The scientists studied the medical records of women who underwent ovarian cancer surgery between 2004 and 2006. The scientists found after five years, cheap the women who had received ketorolac were more likely to survive.
Scientists plan clinical trials to learn more.
